How to switch to Neo in 5 steps

Updated 1 month ago by Carl Andreasson

Upgrading to Quinyx Neo is easier than you think. Neo doesn’t require reimplementation or complex configuration and it does not impose any additional license costs. All your existing employees, shifts, time punches, absences etc. are already waiting for you in Neo. You are just a few steps away from getting up and running.

This guide applies to superusers and managers only. No change is required for your employees - they will continue to use our top ranked mobile app as usual.

Here we have created a short guide for you to get started with Neo in only 5 steps.

  1. Preparations and setup

Make sure you have the right permissions in Neo to make any necessary adjustments. If you are a superuser in Classic, contact Quinyx support and ask them to make sure you are a superuser (Account Owner in Neo).

Optional step: Do you prefer a fresh start, or do you want to use the fixed schedules that you relied on in Classic? Quinyx support can help you to migrate fixed schedules to Neo's base schedules.

Now you are ready to continue and set up access rights in Neo!

  1. Verifying roles and access rights

The management of roles and access rights is a bit different in Neo.

You need to make sure everyone in your organisation has the appropriate permissions in Neo by assigning them the right role in Access Rights before you invite colleagues to use it more broadly.

This is done in the Account settings in Neo and you need to start with Role management.

  1. Webinar training for superusers

Now that you have verified and adjusted your organisation's access rights, you need to understand how Neo works and how to work in Neo. Start by watching a short video which introduces you to the basic functionality in Neo regarding People, Schedule, Time and Analytics.

Webinars and training

  1. Training for Local Managers

We would encourage you to share our introductory videos with your local managers and/or hold a training session for them yourself. As soon as you have done this, your team is ready to start using Neo for their daily scheduling needs.

  1. Start working!

From now on your team has no excuse to go back to Classic :) If you want to hide/turn off tabs in Classic to prevent them from using it, let us know and we can help you.
