How Does the Mobile App Process My Personal Data?

Updated 1 year ago by Mikael Nylen

The Quinyx mobile app does not collect any personal data from your device or other apps that are installed on it. The app only processes the personal data that has been provided by you via the app, or that has been provided by your employer via the Quinyx platform, such as:

  • Name
  • Badge no.
  • Email address
  • Phone no.
  • Address
  • Schedule data
  • Time punches
  • Qmail

All processing of personal data in Quinyx is in compliance with the data protection directive (Directive 95/46/EC) and its successor General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) which was taken into effect in May 2018.
Quinyx requests access to location services in order to enable the app to determine if you are at your workplace when punching in or out. The coordinates to your workplace are provided to your device by the Quinyx app, and your device notifies the Quinyx app when it is within the required radius of your workplace for punching in or out. The app is not aware of your location and does not send location data from your phone to  either the Quinyx platform or other external parties. You can read more about how Geofencing works here.
