Frontline Portal - Client computer prerequisites

Updated by Leigh Hutchens

Baseline requirements

The following table summarizes the baseline requirements and recommendations for accessing the Frontline Portal.

Hardware

Computer

  • PC/Mac: We recommend 1GB of available physical RAM after the OS has loaded along with all commonly accessed applications (web, or native to the OS). With careful control, this means it is possible to run Concrete on low-specification hardware with only 4GB of physical RAM; however, it may be prudent to specify 8GB
  • Mobile: We recommend that you run devices that are no more than 4 years old and have a minimum of 1GB of free physical memory (after having loaded all other system and application software)

Screen

  • Resolution (Minimum): The minimum required resolution is 1024 x 768 pixels
  • Resolution (Recommended): We recommend a working resolution of at least 1280 x 1024 pixels

Software

Operating system

  • PC: Microsoft Windows. (Microsoft-supported versions)
  • Apple: Mac OS X. (Apple supported versions)
  • Mobile: iOS (last 3 major versions) for iPhone and iPad / Android (all currently maintained versions)

Web browser internet

  • Internet Explorer: This browser is no longer supported
  • Microsoft Edge: Last 5 major versions
  • Safari: Last 3 major versions
  • Google Chrome: Last 5 major versions
  • Firefox: Last 3 major versions
Support of the above browser versions is subject to support by the browser developer.
Other modern browsers will very likely run Concrete services without issue, but they are not part of our formal testing process.

Network connectivity

Administrators

  • Upstream: We recommend a minimum of 8MB/sec
  • Downstream: We recommend a minimum of 8MB/sec

End users

  • Upstream: We recommend a minimum of 8MB/sec
  • Downstream: We recommend a minimum of 8MB/sec

Bulk download zip service

Mac Users

  • User downloads are limited to a maximum of 40GB. Due to a limitation of Max OS 10.8 (and above), users who wish to ‘unzip’ downloads larger than 2GB will need to use a 3rd party utility such as iZip or BetterZip.

Whitelisting

The following URLs, ports, and email delivery services are utilized by Quinyx Frontline Portal and may need to be whitelisted by your IT team. Please note that while all of these services are provided via https and wss on port 443, you may want to enable http on port 80 if your user's browsers default to that port.
