You can configure tags in Group settings and Account settings.

A tag is a container of properties that you can connect to shift types, shifts, or punches.

Tags are similar to cost center codes, project codes, and account codes that you can connect to a shift type, but they can carry more properties. There are many benefits to using tags, including:

  • Tracking time spent on various things, which improves time reporting and billing accuracy, simplifies financial follow-up, and lets you perform project ROI calculations. 
  • Allowing you to set an hour budget on the tag, further improving cost control.
  • Mitigating time reporting fraud with the help of geofencing.
  • Enabling deeper integrations with CRM and ERP systems.
You create and use tags in group management much like you do in Account settings.
