Meet Ava, Quinyx's AI assistant

Updated by Leigh Hutchens

Ava is Here: Your AI co-pilot for instant answers!

The Quinyx Assistant will be released gradually to all our customers from 14th of April 2025. Ava will say hi when you log in to Quinyx—keep an eye out! If you prefer not to use Ava, it can be disabled for your entire tenant. Just reach out to Quinyx support or your Customer Success Manager.

Ava is your new AI-powered Quinyx assistant, designed to give you fast answers to your Quinyx-related questions—anytime, anywhere. Before diving into HelpDocs or contacting support, try asking Ava! While Ava is incredibly helpful, the assistant is not a full support replacement—think of Ava as your first stop for quick help.

How to use Ava

Ava is available in both the Web and Mobile app and available in any Quinyx supported language. For customers who have Messenger enabled, Ava is embedded in the Messenger interface.

When you’ve asked a question, you cannot immediately ask a follow-up. Ava needs to finish processing and answering your first question before she can understand and respond to the next one. If you want to clear the conversation, which is generally recommended when asking about a new topic, use the Clear button.

We recommend to install the latest version of the Mobile app for the best experience.

How does Ava work?

To answer your questions, Ava has access to the Quinyx HelpDocs. When Ava finds a page relevant to your question, she will attempt to answer your question, along with providing a link to the source if possible. This means that Ava cannot answer questions about dynamic data such as your schedules, your employees, etc..Ava also tailors her responses based on your access: if you only use the Mobile App, she’ll only answer questions related to that. If you have access to both Mobile and Web, she can help with both.

Help us improve!

You can provide feedback on Ava’s answers to help us make her better over time. Just press the button whenever Ava asks for feedback.

How was Ava released?

Ava was gradually rolled out to all customers in Q2 2025.

Ava is completely free in the current Q&A version and will be automatically enabled by Quinyx—no action is required on your part. Just sit back and wait for Ava to say hi. There’s no need to sign anything; Ava is a standard new feature, like any other Quinyx release. All data is hosted and stored securely in the same environment as the rest of the Quinyx platform.

Please note: while the current version of Ava is free, future advanced capabilities—such as more proactive support or including custom documentation—may be part of a paid offering.
To date, Ava has been released only for the Quinyx web app, and we are working on bringing Ava to Employee Hub-only customers soon.

Language behaviour & Translations

Ava’s responses are based on two things: the language set in your Neo profile and the languages available in Quinyx HelpDocs.

How Ava chooses a language

Ava replies in the language you’ve selected in the Quinyx web app. For example:

  • If your language is set to Swedish, Ava will respond in Swedish—sometimes even if you ask your question in English.
  • If you ask in English, Ava might still answer in Swedish, depending on the HelpDocs source and how she interprets your question.
  • In the mobile app, Ava will adjust to the language of the Quinyx app. More info on supported languages and how to change language can be found here.

To ensure consistent responses in your preferred language, please update your Neo language settings accordingly. After changing the setting, make sure to start a new conversation so the update takes effect.Translations:To answer questions Ava searches through Quinyx HelpDocs to generate her answers. These HelpDocs are currently written in:

  • Swedish
  • English
  • Dutch
  • German

While Ava can translate answers into any Quinyx web app-supported language, translations may sometimes miss subtle meanings or context.

For the most accurate and detailed responses, we recommend asking your questions in English or any of the Hepdocs supported languages—especially for more technical topics or when precision matters

The technology behind Ava

Ava uses a large language model combined with Quinyx’s HelpDocs to provide smart, context-aware answers. It’s built to understand natural language and respond like a helpful teammate. For more information about the underlying technology and data security, see:
