New functionality

Schedule Validations 2.0 Base Schedule rollout with Schedule Compliance beta
In Schedule Validations 2.0 (Base Schedule rollout with Schedule Compliance beta), warnings for period-based rules (e.g., Max hours per week) now list every shift contributing to a violation instead of only the single shift that first exceeds the limit. This change results from moving from per-shift checks to a period-wide validation. We’re working on a fix to restore focused warnings and improve the user experience.
Enhanced Schedule Compliance: shift deletion validation

What’s new

In this release, we’ve extended the Late Schedule Change rule to include shift deletion. Previously, the rule only validated when a shift was created or updated within the restricted time window. Now, any attempt to delete a shift during that same timeframe will be checked as well.

Why we added this

Many labor regulations require that employees know about/approve late schedule changes—including deletions—before a certain cutoff time. By validating deletes in addition to creations and updates, we ensure your organization remains fully compliant with local laws and avoids potential penalties.

Why you’ll love it ❤️

  • Full compliance coverage: Deletions can be just as impactful as additions or edits. This change ensures no late-notice gaps in coverage slip through.
  • Fewer surprises: Employees won’t lose shifts unexpectedly at the last minute, which helps maintain trust and morale.
  • Peace of mind: By automating the validation, managers no longer need to track every late delete manually, Quinyx does it for you.

This will automatically be added to the Schedule Compliance feature, and if you already have the rule for late schedule change set up, no further configuration is required. We hope this enhancement makes it even easier for you to stay compliant, to keep your schedules reliable, and to protect your team from last-minute disruptions.

Updates and performance improvements

Enhanced daily data display in Schedule Statistics

In Version 0212, we introduced a daily resolution for Input data. In this release, we've improved how that data is visualized in the Schedule Statistics. Now, when data with a Daily resolution is imported and you're viewing a single day in the Statistics, you'll see a single value across all of the hours of the day, in one merged cell.

Business view: Smarter staffing decisions with the new section grouping option

We’re excited to introduce an additional enhancement to the Business view: the ability to group schedules by section. This new option offers greater flexibility and control, giving managers a clearer view of staffing aligned to how their organization is structured.

You can now organize and view employee schedules by section, making it easier to manage teams based on the unique structure of your organization.

🔍 What is a section?

A section represents a distinct part of your organizational setup, depending on how your company is configured. Each customer may define sections differently, allowing the Business view to adapt to your specific operational needs.

How to use section grouping

In the Business view, open the Display options panel and switch the grouping from Shift type to the new Section option. This will reorganize your schedule layout based on the sections defined in your organization’s structure. Shifts that are created, but don’t have a section assigned to them, will appear under “No section” part.

Key features

  • Collapsible section groups
    • Clean, focused layout with collapsible section headers on the left-hand side.
  • Detailed shift information
    • View shift time, hours, assignee, shift type, and any comments within each section.
  • Assigned Shifts per Section
    • KPI shows the number of assigned shifts per section—making it easy to spot workload imbalances or staffing gaps.
  • Flexible across time views
    • Use section grouping with daily, weekly, monthly, or custom views.
  • All your regular tools are fully supported:
    • Drag-and-drop scheduling
    • Replanning tools to close gaps and adjust coverage quickly

This enhancement reflects our commitment to helping you work smarter, plan better, and align scheduling with how your business operates, with these key values:

  • Better visibility across your organization: Quickly identify coverage gaps or overlaps across sections, and ensure every part of your business is properly staffed.
  • Advanced filtering and comparison tools: Use enhanced viewing options to evaluate performance across sections and make data-informed decisions faster.
  • Optimized staffing allocation: Ensure the right people are scheduled in the right sections at the right times, avoiding both overstaffing and understaffing.
Improved nominal hours distribution logic!

We've updated how nominal hours are calculated and distributed across the week. Previously, counting nominal hours always started from Monday—this was hardcoded and could not be adjusted. Now, counting nominal hours is aligned with the first day of the week as defined in the Agreement template > Rules for hours setting. This ensures correct weekly hour calculations, especially in regions where the workweek doesn’t start on Monday.

Bug fixes

  • Resolved an issue that caused users to be unable to set an end date for agreements and to receive an error message.

Employee Hub web app Version 0213

Updates and performance improvements

Employee Hub updated home page

In this version, we've improved the Employee Hub home page. With this update, we will be using the full width of the screen on the home page.

When there is a single card for a pinned/hero carousel widget, then the image will be shown on the left, and the content to the right. If there is a description, it will be shown to the right under the title. More of the description will be shown depending on the size of the card. When there is more than one item, more of the next card will be shown, the bigger the screen size, the more of the next card will be shown.

The standard carousels will now show as many cards that will fit within the screen size (like the dashboards). On mobile, cards in the standard and hero carousels will now be the same.

Employee Hub small design improvements

In this version, we've continued our redesign work of the Employee Hub with some smaller design improvements. Some of the updates we've done are:

  • Visualize that there are several events in the calendar week view with a "Show more" button, and when clicked, the container becomes scrollable.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed an issue where managers could approve their own absences via the Mobile Manager tab, even when the "Can approve own absence" setting was disabled in the agreement template. This setting is now correctly enforced across both Web and Mobile.

SOAP API / Web service updates

None at this time.

We encourage all of our customers to make use of our APIs to maintain data and to make sure that information is up-to-date. To ensure the scalability of our APIs while growing our customer and user base, we've decided to add restrictions on the usage of our SOAP APIs. These restrictions will be enforced programmatically, which means we will enforce a limit on concurrent calls per customer to 10. You should expect response code 429 if you happen to exceed this limit, and you are recommended to implement a backoff retry mechanism to handle the limit. Note that the limit applies to SOAP only. When moving from SOAP to REST over the coming years, any limits will be built into the API.

Please make sure to forward this information to the party within your company responsible for integrations.
