Reminder for our US customers, Daylight Saving Time ends soon

Daylight Saving Time ends on the first Sunday in November at 2:00 AM (local time). At that time, the clock moves back one hour — giving you an extra hour overnight.

Because of this, any shifts or punches that overlap 1:00–2:00 AM on that Sunday will automatically include one extra hour.

Example: If an employee works from 12:00 AM to 8:00 AM, the system will count 9 hours instead of 8 during the DST change.

Make sure to review schedules and time punches for that night to ensure accuracy.

Update to the release schedule

To improve the overall quality and reliability of our releases, we’re adjusting our release calendar for the rest of the year. Releasing at the very end or start of a month can occasionally impact customers’ payroll processes. To minimize potential disruption, we’re adjusting the schedule while continuing to strengthen release quality. We’re slightly shifting the release cadence to avoid end-of-month and Black Friday periods.

Swedish collective agreement change

We’re aware of upcoming changes in the Swedish collective agreement that may impact scheduling and compliance for some of our customers. Our teams are actively investigating how we can address these updates within Quinyx. Once we have a confirmed plan of action, we’ll share more details. Our intention is to have a solution in place by 1 April 2026. However, as we explore the technical feasibility of a solution, the timeline is subject to change - but we’ll do everything we can to deliver before the agreement change date.

Employee Hub web app Version 0223

Release date November 5, 2025

New functionality

We’ve made an important improvement to how links work in the Employee Hub when accessed through the Quinyx web app (AIO).

Previously, some links shared between users or embedded inside resources (such as tasks or stories) did not always open correctly — especially if they were shared between users belonging to different groups e.g. shared by a manager to an employee user. This was because the URL contained the user's own group ID, so when shared to someone outside of their group, the recipient did not have permissions to access.

With this update, we have removed the group ID from the URL. Links will now open correctly in the web version of the Employee Hub, ensuring that everyone is taken to the correct location regardless of where the link was created or shared. This change makes it easier to share Employee Hub content between users, improves reliability, and removes confusion caused by different link formats.

Please note that this fix will initially only affect the Manager Portal. The same issue will be resolved for the Staff Portal and mobile apps shortly afterward. Another thing to note is that historic links using the old URL format (i.e. those containing a group ID) will not automatically work with our fix and will need to be updated manually if shared previously.

Coming in our mobile apps: support for displaying Employee Hub tasks in the mobile dashboard

Many employees already use the mobile dashboard daily to check shifts and updates. With this release, we’re making it even easier to stay on top of priorities by adding Employee Hub tasks directly to the dashboard view. Now you’ll have a single place to see both your schedule and your most important to-dos.

What’s new

  • New 'Tasks card' in your dashboard – see your most recent and relevant Employee Hub tasks without leaving the main dashboard view.
  • Clear overview – view up to 10 of your most recent tasks (default 5), based on the date they were sent to you.
Please note, date received is the default sort order, but you can select and save your preferred sort order on the web e.g. due date etc.
  • Relevant details at a glance – start dates, due dates, and overdue indicators are shown on the task card
  • Personal progress made simple:
    • Status bar → reflects the individual assignee’s status on the task (e.g. Not started, In progress, Completed).
    • Progress bar → reflects the overall team’s progress on the task (e.g. 3 of 5 people completed).
  • Seamless access – tap a task to view its full details, including chat, breakdown, and reassignment options
  • Personalise the dashboard layout for Tasks the same way you can with all other elements in the dashboard view i.e. you can choose where Tasks should be displayed in the dashboard and choose to show or hide the Tasks section at any time
  • Tasks are only available if your company is using the Employee Hub.

Updates and performance improvements

Bug fixes

  • Resolved an issue where changing the language in the Staff Portal wouldn't update the language in Employee Hub.

New Employee Hub HelpDocs content

  • None at this time.
  • SOAP API / Web service updates

We encourage all of our customers to make use of our APIs to maintain data and to make sure that information is up-to-date. To ensure the scalability of our APIs while growing our customer and user base, we've decided to add restrictions on the usage of our SOAP APIs. These restrictions will be enforced programmatically, which means we will enforce a limit on concurrent calls per customer to 10. You should expect response code 429 if you happen to exceed this limit, and you are recommended to implement a backoff retry mechanism to handle the limit. Note that the limit applies to SOAP only. When moving from SOAP to REST over the coming years, any limits will be built into the API.

Please make sure to forward this information to the party within your company responsible for integrations.
